Vendredi - WebLinks of the week

THIS WEEKS IN LINKS:

This weeks picks are definitely worth to be checked out.
The first one is the original one, teaching you sick tricks to hack your brain. Boston Globe really did their research.. Now just need some time to try some of these.

Second is Dino Run. A classic pixel game featuring dinosaurs and meteorites. If you got some time to waist, this would be your best bet. Check it out if your on the run, like our little dinosaur friend here.

Third is the art site. The one of Known Gallery, so owned by our boys in the west of MSK crew. Known graffiti artists, theses guys sure have skills on the paper and on the streets.. This is where this kind of stuff should really be appreciated. Enjoy Known Gallery.

Cheers, Greenwood

Jeudi - Photos of the Week

GINDOBRÉ.
This weeks pics aren't the best I could've chosen but still stop-scrolling-to-check-out funny, stop-scrolling-and-thinkable and a bit depressive but nonetheless cool *I know like 5 people with this background* wallpaper. So here they are!

First is the funny one. *Mix of 90's and 2k nostalgia anyone?* No explanations needed:

Hahaha wtf. Second one is the serious one. Not the best photography aimed skill photo there could have been, but... stops you in your track for sure. Don't jump to hate just yet, take some time to consider what there could have been. Enjoy a good conversation along with the pic?... anyways, here it is:

Last is the wallpaper. After finishing fallout 3 *still drooling* this follows quite well. The whole nuclear end of the world theme. Very colourful and texture-rich. Just remember that if there's one day left of life on earth, its already tomorrow in Australia. So go out, and enjoy this cold winter. You never can tell.

Until tomorrow, have a nice day people.
yours truly, Greenwood

Mercredi - Artists of the Week

This week in my picks, Jean Paul Riopelle and Antoine Ryan.

Monsieur Riopelle of Montreal died seven years ago, but stays as a strong influence. Anyone who's seen my stuff and his might see a connection. And I think I can connect to the guy. I mean, when people see my stuff and ask me if I'm depressed or on some hard drugs, I say not at all, and most know me as a very happy guy. He doesn't look too fucked, which most deep artist end up as. So here's the link to his site.

Second is is monsieur Antoine Ryan. This guy aims more for the photography. He also has paint and ink skills, some of his best stuff is his photography. Studying presently at La Cité colégialle in photography, this guy has is own eye. Grown up in different places, with different people, in different times, his stuff breathes city life as much the small stuff that marks everyday as unique. Check out his flickr website.

Third is Marc Dean Veca. I remember seeing his stuff first in Juxtapoz magazine. This guy has a real talent for his installations. His painting stuff isn't bad either, but I'd pay first for one of his room designs. A definite "must check out" for interior designers. Heres his website.

(PS. photo on top is of my own, not Riopelle's. But if you like go to Oh So Good! in the market to check out more stuff.)

PEACE OUT blog-people
yours truly, Greenwood.

Mardi - Greenwood Recommends:

As part of Greenwood's pick of the week, I'll just post what needs a little attention some some this week.

Playing on my shuffle right now is some Gang Starr. This 90's duo from the East Coast really knows how to kick it. Sort of, A Tribe Called Quest but aiming towards rap. I really can't believe I wasn't hooked to these guys earlier. Here's a link to their video, Ex Girl to Next Girl. And a shout to P-O (in tel-prod, la cité) for getting me back in the mood for them last semester.

Second pick is stuff of my own. Recently I got the news that I'd be up at Oh So Good! in the market, (613 whaddup!), so you all go see it. The stuff up is half original stuff from back in the day at De La Salle, part new stuff. You shouldn't have a problem separating the two but nonetheless, the stuff is fresh. Most of my old stuff can be seen on my Facebook if you have me, if not search me up, Simon Greenwood. So it'll be up from the 1st of February to the end of March. Thanks to Marcus and Basement Artists for making this possible. GO SEE!

BIG L, REST IN PEACE.
until tomorrow, take it eaze.
Greenwood.

Lundi - Non Sequitur Lazy Mondays

Heyo everyone. God I hate Mondays. Yeah yeah I got a case of the mondays (reference Office Space, go see that movie). So in an egg-shell, Mondays are to me what Polish board dancing is to you. We simply can't be sure what to expect. So... (*mmhm*)(akward cough) how was your weekend?.. Yeah? Cool.. Mine? Oh.. Meh. Alright so lets end this here. To end this post here's an akward joke I *randomly* thought of yesterday (Sunday, the day of nothingness - hence no posts). My best buddy Antoine died, lucky for me I have a Ouija-board. (hehe... *sigh*)

See ya tomorrow everyone,
Greenwood.

Samedi - Greenwood's People of the Week!

Whoa, we've already come to this! So congrats to the people who made it. This week, five lucky people made the list. Well, maybe not lucky, just chill enough to keep me happy, in these.. reallly, really cold winter days. sigh. So! Here goes:

First person to make the list is my best buddy Antoine. Congrats boy. Only person I know to have the muscles of a man and the spirit of a 6 year old. So here dedicated to you is the SMASH hit Kids, by MGMT.

Next is Biz BoY! Remember to go check out his comedy later on this year. Funny kid, long week, no problem you got your bud Greenwood. So I hope everything worked out for Philo and Here's to you, Skeleton, by Bloc Party. This winter might be cold but hold on.

Third is Miss Jane, Chloe-Jane that is. Work days are long until this one pops out of her hat booth and comes eat thai with you. This song fits you well too, dunno but it feels right, like.. You'd be the one singing this if they made a second, more intense video. Nonetheless, sexy video (always with fedde..) so enjoy The creeps, by Camille Jones VS Fedde Le Grand.

Fourth is my boy Jouma! Happy birthday kid.. SHIT! I just can't believe I'm almost a year older. Well this kid deserves more than birthday wishes but also thank-you's.. but thats another story. This song is from an artist John introduced me too, The Chariot, by The Cat Empire.

Fifth is my Mama! So beautiful, everyone loves her and loves her art stuff when to go to Greenwood's (mhm), well his parents pad. So much love comes from this woman but winter is a little more cold then it needs to be.. Just remember summer is just around the corner. Pour toi Mom, Summertime, by Miles Davis.

Vendredi - WebLinks of the week

Being a world traveler and an internet surfer, you end up with stacks of postcards and bookmarked web pages. On most websites you can find link to other websites, so here are my share.

For the Original one, I choose the tenth dimension video. Something to think of if your searching for some philo-science to talk about and your not a creationist.

http://www.tenthdimension.com/medialinks_videos.php

Too much extreme stuff or stupid gifs are found through-out the web so here's sort of an in-between. SFW enough.., definitely offers a few laughs.

Third is the Art Link. As a thanks to blogger for offering free blogs, here's a blogger account with an artful touch. Aiming for photo loving people, I know this will definitely satisfy a few of my friends for a week at least. Including my dad, yeah.. ENJOY
